Student Mastery Connect
Mastery Connect is an online teacher tool and student assessment platform that enables educators to quickly determine what their students know and don’t know. Instead of showing percentages, it identifies specific standard-level understandings among students.
Additionally, educators can quickly and easily create formative assessments linked to their curriculum maps, keeping their workload organized and efficient while aiding student learning.
Furthermore, it allows educators to identify students who may need extra support and offer them tailored remediation. This can help close the achievement gap for struggling learners.
It also serves for ELA and math progress reporting, with students being able to view their proficiency level against the Missouri Learning Standards. This gives teachers, students, and parents all of the information necessary to make educated decisions about what has been learned by their children.
Keynote Speakers
Keynote speakers are often selected due to their high visibility and expertise within their industry. Furthermore, keynotes typically command a higher speaking fee than guest speakers do.
Event planners seek a keynote speaker who can convey the event’s theme through storytelling, motivational elements or an inspirational speech. Additionally, they ensure that the speaker is relevant to the audience.
Finding an ideal keynote speaker can be a challenge. There are numerous factors to take into account, such as budget, event size and which type of speaker best suits the requirements of the host organization.
At Student Mastery Connect, we were fortunate to have several keynote speakers share their expertise and experience. These keynotes gave insight into the various methods mastery learning can be implemented and how it can bring about real change in school environments. Furthermore, there were breakout sessions dedicated to specific topics and challenges within this space.
Breakout Sessions
Student Mastery Connect’s Breakout Sessions provide a wealth of learning and networking opportunities. From professional development to facilitated peer-to-peer discussions, these breakouts will appeal to teachers across grade levels and subject areas.
The breakout sessions provide an invaluable opportunity to learn from fellow MTC members who have successfully implemented various school change initiatives, such as the Mastery Transcript and Learning Record. Through these interactive discussions, attendees will create a shared vision and take ownership of these initiatives.
Educators who have not yet adopted the Mastery Transcript or Learning Record will be provided with a preview of its key features and distinctions, to help them visualize use cases, create systems, and get up to speed quickly.
At The Breakout Sessions, MTC member schools who use the Mastery Transcript or Learning Record to assess students’ learning and track progress toward mastering standards will present case studies. They will share their individual school contexts along with practical strategies and collective problem-solving to drive meaningful change within their organizations.
